eTwinning is the community for schools in Europe. The project is launched in 2005 as the main action of the European Comission’s Learning Programme. eTwinning offers a platform for staff (teachers, head teachers, librarians, etc.), working in a school in more than 40 European countries involved, to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share and, in short, feel and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe.
eTwinning Plus is a partial extension of eTwinning and firmly integrated in it. eTwinning Plus promotes school collaboration through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) by providing support, tools and services for schools of neighboring countries such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Tunisia and Ukraine. As a result of eTwinning Plus project, students from Azerbaijan have had opportunities to get acquainted with the tradition, living style and culture of the partnering countries by communicating with students in the existing eTwinning network. Moreover, during the project teachers had have safe, online environment to engage with partner schools, work on projects and communicate with like-minded educational professionals without leaving the educational institution.
