Ministry
officials of European countries and teaching staff of more than 40 countries
participated in the event. Azerbaijan was represented by the Bureau on ICT for
Education, under the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic and 3
teachers.
During
the visit, various seminars, plenary sessions and trainings were organized for
teachers on the formation of critical thinking in the digital environment,
computer science and coding, and student safety in an online environment. They
also discussed the development of project-based curricula, development of
student-centered education, online professional development methods.
Central support service of eTwinning organized a discussion
panel on the role of eTwinning in the field of teachers’ professional
development and the use of ICT in education. Vusal Khanlarov, head of the
Bureau on ICT for Education, joined the discussions with the Deputy Minister of
Croatia, officials from France, Malta and Portugal. Vusal Khanlarov shared his
thoughts on the project's integration into the education system and its
successful implementation in the country.
Overall, 524 schools 1912 teachers involved in eTwinning Plus in Azerbaijan. eTwinning gives opportunities for teachers to participate in different PDWs, Seminars, Thematic conferences which held in European countries. Since 2016, the Bureau on ICT for Education is designated as a partner Support Agency for eTwinning Plus in Azerbaijan.
