eTwinning Azerbaijan
held a multilateral Contact Seminar – “ICT in Education” on 23-25 May 2018, at Baku
Boulevard hotel. Acting head of the Bureau on ICT for Education under the
Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic, Vusal Khanlarov gave a speech
for the opening ceremony of the Seminar.
60 teachers and NSS
representatives from 9 countries participated in the Seminar. Azerbaijan hosted
31 participants from France, Latvia, Finland, Georgia, Bulgaria, Malta,
Slovakia and Czech Republic. There were also 29 teachers from Azerbaijan, Baku
and 6 regions.
eTwinning Azerbaijan
organized different workshops and sessions by local and foreign experts in the
sphere of project based education, XXI century skills, application of ICT in
Education. Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Azerbaijan –
Parviz Bagirov, Educational Manager in “Microsoft-Azerbaijan” – Emin Akhundov, Acting
Dean of the School of Information Technologies and Engineering at ADA University – Araz Yusubov
were the keynote speakers of the Seminar.
As a result of the
Seminar 28 new projects registered by the cooperation of the local and foreign
teachers.
Overall, 244 schools
660 teachers involved in eTwinning Plus in Azerbaijan. eTwinning gives
opportunities for teachers to participate in different PDWs, Seminars, Thematic
conferences which held in European countries. Since 2016, the Bureau on ICT for
Education is designated as a partner Support Agency for eTwinning Plus in
Azerbaijan.
