An international event organized by the eTwinning Central Support Service took place in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from November 7-9, 2024. Around 100 educators from Italy, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Georgia, Portugal, Turkiye, and Spain were invited to participate in the event. The purpose of the event, organized under the theme “From Classroom to Community,” was to enhance the teaching skills of educators working in general and vocational education using modern methods, improve their ICT and language skills, and create an environment for developing joint lesson examples and international projects with their international counterparts.
The 3-day event included training on topics such as
“Education of Students in the Community Environment,” “The Role of Artificial
Intelligence in Education,” “The Application of Lifelong Learning and Critical
Thinking in Education,” and “Project-Based Learning in Inclusive Classrooms.”
Panel discussions also took place on "Successful Project Models"
implemented in general and vocational education institutions.
As a result of the event, country representatives
developed joint lesson models with their European colleagues, focusing on
creating new learning environments that balance students' needs and
capabilities and highlighting the connection between students' comprehension
needs and their surrounding environment in the educational process. Elvina
Alekberova, a foreign language teacher from Secondary School No. 26 in Baku,
and Saida Mammadova, a teacher at the Baku State Vocational Education Center
for Tourism and Social Services, participated in the event and created
integrated lesson models on the annual theme.
