On March 16, 2024, the
final stage of the student competition held within the eTwinning program took
place. Gunay Gurbanova, head of the project sector of the Baku Education
Department, eTwinning coordinator Natavan Badalova, project ambassadors, school
principals and students took part in the event. In the debate stage, the teams
of comprehensive secondary school number 108 from Baku, and students of the
comprehensive secondary school number 1 held a discussion on the topic "Robots
are changing our way of life". Students participating in the discussion on
the same age group talked about the effects of robots on human life based on
the arguments they put forward on the topic. Opposing teams voiced opinions
about the opportunities created by robots in many fields, especially in the
fields of industry, medicine and technology, and justified their opinions with
evidence and facts. As a result, the jury has accepted the argument that robots
are changing the way we live, preferring opinions based on scientific research
and reliable sources. Certificates and gifts were presented to the winning
students. We would like to note that the competition for students within the
eTwinning project is organized every school year. The purpose of the competition
was to form and reveal critical thinking, analytical skills, relying on
reliable sources, working with evidence in students. We would like to inform
you that the first stage of the competition was held on December 27-February 14.
