Professional Development Workshop was held in Spain

Workshop for eTwinners on the "Creating Bonds through Innovation"

On June 1-3, 2023, an international event was held by the Spanish Central Support Service in the historic city of Alcala de Henares.

About 60 participants from Austria,Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia, Portugal, Jordan and Spain participated in the event.

The purpose of the event organized under the theme "Establishment of innovative relations between countries" was to develop the education of educators using modern methods, to increase ICT and language skills, to create conditions for  joint lessons and international projects with international colleagues.

During the 3-day event, there were trainings covering the topics of "Role of Artificial Intelligence in Education" and "Project-Based Learning in Inclusive Classes", and presentations on the topics of "Best Practices" implemented in vocational educational institutions in a panel discussion.

As a result of the event, the representatives of the countries   established common lesson models that include the introduction of new learning environments that balance the needs and opportunities of students, and also bring to the fore the connection between the students' understanding needs and the conditions surrounding them in the educational process. Aynur Akhundova, a teacher of Jeyirli village general school in Gobustan region, created an integrative lesson model on "Green City" with her colleagues from Spain and Jordan.

It should be noted that our country has been participating in the "eTwinning" project since 2013. The project is part of the "eTwinning" project of the Lifelong Learning Program of the European Union. The main goal of the project is to increase communication between the pedagogues from 44 European countries participating in the program, to create opportunities for cooperation, as well as to create conditions for implementing various projects in the direction of the development of education. Within the framework of the project, 4,445 educational projects have been implemented with the participation of 4,180 teachers from 1,141 schools in our country, many high international achievements have been achieved, and competition has been held at the same level as European countries.
