On December 19-21, 2022, a three-day regional conference was held in Shamakhi within the framework of the "eTwinning" project.

On December 19-21, 2022, a three-day regional conference was held in Shamakhi within the framework of the "eTwinning" project. Rovshan Aliyev- Head of Shirvan Regional Education Department, Fidan Najafova -Department Head of the Bureau on ICT for Education, eTwinning ambassadors and 59 teachers from different regions of Azerbaijan joined the conference.

The main purpose of the conference was to ensure the implementation of ICT to education for regional teachers, project-based education, finding international partners and development of work projects with them in the regions. At the same time, the organization of various trainings and discussions that will develop 21st century skills for teachers is also reflected in the agenda of the event. Within the framework of the 3-day conference, various trainings and discussions were organized on the topics of successful project model, project creation and planning on the platform, integration of project topics into the national curriculum.

At the closing ceremony of the conference, Rovshan Aliyev, head of the Shirvan Regional Education Department, spoke about the successful implementation of the project in the region and the importance of project-based education for teachers and students of the region.

59 teachers from 16 regions of Azerbaijan participated in the conference. As a result of the conference, 26 joint projects were created.

On the last day of the event, the winner of the competition for "The most creative project of the year" was awarded among teachers within the framework of the "eTwinning" project. Guler Bayramova, a teacher of Zarifa Aliyeva high school in Jalilabad city, won the competition on "Education in a different learning environment" in the current academic year.

It should be noted that our country has been participating in the "eTwinning" project since 2013. The project is part of the "eTwinning" project of the Lifelong Learning Program of the European Union. The main goal of the project is to increase communication between the pedagogues from 44 European countries participating in the program, to create opportunities for cooperation, as well as to create conditions for implementing various projects in the direction of the development of joint education. Within the framework of the project, 4,445 educational projects have been implemented with the participation of 4,180 teachers from 1,141 schools in our country, many high international achievements have been achieved, and competition has been held at the same level as European countries.
