Professional development opportunity within the eTwinning project

The eTwinning European Center regularly organizes online trainings to enhance professional development for educators. Within the framework of the project, an international online professional development training on “eTwinning for Vocational Education” was held on May 18-20, 2022.

The main purpose of the 3-days training was to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies in accordance with the concept of lifelong education and the requirements of the labor market, to train educators in vocational education institutions as independent, creative individuals.

eTwinning ambassador from Azerbaijan Ofeliya Gafarova and English language teacher of Baku Humanitarian College Svetlana Shushayeva attended the event. In order to improve the quality of vocational education, 16 trainings, discussion panels and speeches were organized in 4 parallels for the participants of the event. Along with our country, teachers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Cyprus, Estonia, Turkey, Albania, Tunisia, Italy, France, as well as newly joined countries such as Montenegro also participated and exchanged their best experiences. As a result of the workshop, the participating teachers created joint lesson models and planned project topics to train staff to meet the requirements of the labor market. The project is expected to start in the next academic year. At the end, teachers who successfully completed the training were awarded with international certificates.

It should be noted that the eTwinning project is part of the European Commission’s Continuing Education Program and is funded by Erasmus +, the European program for education, training, youth and sports.
